BHEL, Hardwar has a systematic approach for identification of potential supplier and evaluation of the supplier based on organization soundness, quality system adequacy and technical competence as a self-assessment system by the supplier himself to ensure their eligibility for enlistment before applying for registration.

To identify the potential supplier, there is a pre-qualifying requirement based on the individual item/equipment/product. Before processing any application for evaluation of a supplier to consider for enlistment as an approved supplier,it is necessary for the supplier in question to fulfill prequalifying requirements first.
